Flower Fusion Card

Wanted to try out one of my new accessories from SU - Flower Fusion. They come in a cute little tin, which I quickly put some rub-ons on just to dress it up a bit.

The combinations are endless that is for sure and you get so many little felt flowers in the tin. 3 different colours - green, orange and fuschia. I hear for the next catalogue that there will be new colour choices and one of them is the Chocolate Chip.

No stamps on this card - just a rub-on for something different.

Supplies used: 5/8 real red grosgrain ribbon, Fire and Ice brad, Flower Fusion Flosers, Photo Punch (of course) and the Tart and Tangy desinger paper and my other new favourite which I keep reaching for these days is the Signo White Pen.

Retired List for 2008 ~ Coming June 15th

June 15th is the date that SU has just advised that they will announce the Retired Stamp List for 2008. In previous year, items on the retired list have been available for purchase at a discount as they will no longer be featured in the upcoming catalogues.
I say...retire lots...make way for the new stuff! Yikes...I hear money being spent!!! =-0

I will be sure to post the list here as soon as I get it.

Also, note the Retiring Accessory List will be posted July 21.

eScape Bundle! New from SU

I've been a little lazy lately, actually just too busy (that sounds just so much better doesn't it?) to get down to my room and create. I promise I will and get something new and exciting posted here. I do have all sorts of ideas swimming around in my head...it's just getting something done!

Here is the latest promotion from SU and runs the whole month long.

SU has designated June 25th as eScape day - a day to put away our cell phones and laptops and re-discover the joy of making a personal connection that can't be found in a text message or email. So use June 25th as a day to make some cards and send one to a friend just to say hello!

The eScape Bundle at $38.75 includes: Circle of Friendship stamp set, Love Notes, Rose Red Stampin' Pad and 5/8" Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon.

Sneak Peak ~ New SU Stamps! (FRESH CUTS)

While the release of the new catalogue is still a couple of months away, Stampin' Up! couldn't help but give us a sneak peek of some of the great products to come.

This is the latest special starting in June 1 to 30th from Stampin Up.
This new set is $25.95 and it is called Fresh Cut. The set has 5 stamps. Did I mention that they are die-cut? Which means...quicker and much easier mounting! Whoo Hoo!!
There is also coordinating Fresh Cut Note Cards in white. These note cards are 4X4 size with matching envelopes and come 15 to a package for $5.95 when you buy the stamp set (or $10.75 alone).
The note cards have a laser flower cutout in the middle. This 4x4 size is great to work with for small projects especially when you need a card fast!
2008 marks the 20th Annivesary for Stampin Up. I can only imagine what fun goodies will be coming out as the anniversary approaches. I will keep you all posted.
Have a great night!

Which is the Right Glue For your Project?

Wondering which type of glue to use? This may help you.

With so many adhesive options, how's a gal to know which one to choose for the job? Elmer's glue may be find for the kid's project, but its not what you want to use for your card making and scrapbook masterpieces.

Here are a few key benefits of the different adhesives Stampin' Up! currently offers....

2 Way Glue Pen: This adhesive is temporary when allowed to dry before adhering or permanent when adhered promptly.

Anywhere Glue Stick: This is an economical choice for both scrapbooking and card making. The rectangular design makes those hard to reach places reachable.

Dotto: Scrapbookers love this adhesive! Because it's re-positionable, you can move around your pictures and artwork without causing damage to the page.

Glue Dots: The Mini Glue Dots and larger Pop-Up Glue Dots are super sticky double-sided adhesive dots designed for use on many 3-D accents for cards, scrapbook pages, and other projects. They adhere to paper, fabric, wood, chipboard, foam, plastic and more. No fumes, no mess, no drying time required.
Heat and Stick Powder: Use with your Versamark ink or Craft ink pads to apply glitter to your stamped image with precision.

SNAIL Adhesive: SNAIL Adhesive applies a controlled amount of adhesive directly to your project, so your hands and work area never get sticky. Once applied, this is a permanent adhesive.

Stampin' Dimensionals: These double-sided, foam dots are the easiest way to give your project an instant 3-D look. Just stamp an image, trim around it, and then use a Stampin' Dimensional to attach it to your project. They are also great for making greetings stand out and attaching 3-D objects such as tags and bows.

Sticky Strip: This double-sided red tape is by far the strongest adhesive available. This super-strong adhesive will hold together a box or pouch like a dream! It won't lift, curl, distort, warp, or wrinkle. You can also use it to adhere other craft related embellishments such as beads, glitter, ribbon, or embossing powder.

Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive: Like the 2-Way glue pen, this adhesive is temporary when allowed to dry before adhering or permanent when adhered promptly. Use it with beads and glitter or to adhere Designer Series paper to chipboard.

* Many thanks to The Stamping Goddess for this reference. Be sure to check out her blog for some great ideas.
